FAQs

What is your availability for sessions?

I currently see clients Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during the day.
How much do sessions cost?

My pricing is $185 per 50-minute session. I accept HSA, FSA, and most major credit cards.

Why don't you take insurance?

Insurance companies can dictate time and duration of treatment, and require diagnoses. Being out of network allows for more flexibility in meeting your treatment needs and doesn't add anything to your medical record. Please reach out if you'd like more information about superbills and out of network benefits helping pay for sessions.
What can I expect in a consultation and at my first session?
During a consultation call I will ask you what you are hoping to get from therapy as well as what your previous experience has been with therapy, if any. I will share a bit about how I work and answer any questions you have, and if it feels like a fit, we will discuss beginning treatment. You can make your decision during the call, or you can think about it and get back to me when you're ready.
If we decide to schedule a session, I will send you a confirmation email including a link to an online portal to complete some paperwork before your first session. During that first session, we will spend time getting to know each other and reviewing your goals and paperwork as needed.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a consistency policy. This means that sometimes things come up and you can't make it to session, even within a 24-hour window. It happens! I ask that you let me know as soon as you can that you can't make it to session, and we can look to reschedule. I make every effort to find a time to reschedule your session. I offer two free cancellations per year where we don't reschedule and you are not charged. After using two, we either find a time to reschedule or you will be charged for the missed session.
Is it worth it?

This question is expected when you're considering investing your time, energy, and money into therapy. You might have fears, doubts, hopes, and questions. I encourage you to reflect on what, specifically, would make it worth it to you, as well as what you imagine would happen if you didn't try. We can talk more about this together in your consultation call.
RIGHT TO RECEIVE A GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE NOTICE

The federal government now requires all healthcare providers to provide a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of professional services. You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining what your mental health care will cost. While it is not possible for a psychotherapist to know in advance how many psychotherapy sessions may be necessary or appropriate for a given person, this form provides an estimate of the cost of services provided. Your total cost of services will depend upon the number of psychotherapy sessions you have scheduled. This estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to obtain any services from the provider(s) listed, nor does it include any services rendered to you that are not specified here.

This Good Faith Estimate is not intended to serve as a recommendation for treatment or a prediction that you may need to attend a specified number of psychotherapy visits. The number of visits that are appropriate in your case, and the estimated total cost for those services, depends on your needs and what you agree to in consultation with your therapist. You are entitled to disagree with any recommendations made to you concerning your treatment, and you may discontinue treatment at any time.
You have a right to initiate a dispute resolution process if the actual amount charged to you substantially exceeds the estimated charges stated in your Good Faith Estimate. You are encouraged to speak with your provider at any time about any questions you may have regarding your treatment plan or the information provided in this Good Faith Estimate.
